Special Children’s Day Celebration

The Straight Child Foundation (TSCF) marked this year’s Children’s Day with a beautiful celebration dedicated to children with special needs. It was a day filled with joy, inclusion, and hope.

💙 Event Highlights:
• Presentation of mobility aids — including wheelchairs and CP chairs — to support children with cerebral palsy.
• Fun inclusive activities: dance, sack race, tug of war, and a vibrant cake-cutting moment!
• Special performances by St. Vincent De Paul School, School of the Blind, and Children Evangelical Fellowship.
• Inspiring messages from government representatives, disability advocates, and faith leaders encouraging inclusion and support for every child.
• Strong partnership from MWAN Abia (led by Dr. Chizoba Achor) who reaffirmed continued medical and community support.

💬 Families expressed deep gratitude, with one mother saying, “This gift is more than a chair; it is freedom for my child.”
TSCF CEO, Dr. Peace Amaraegbulam, reminded everyone of the mission: “Progress may be slow, but it is real. No child should ever be forgotten.”

🙏 We appreciate everyone who supported this event.
TSCF continues to welcome support through donations of mobility aids, educational materials, rehabilitation equipment, and partnerships for advocacy.

Together, we can build a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive. 💛
