Cerebral Palsy (CP) Bootcamp Program Awareness Walk
As part of the build-up to our Cerebral Palsy (CP) Bootcamp Program coming up on 12th–14th August 2025, The Straight Child Foundation (TSCF) today held a vibrant awareness campaign walk across Umuahia to inform and educate the public about CP.
Participants rolled out by 7:00 am in two energetic groups.
The first group processed through World Bank Estate, from Opet Junction all the way to Agbama.
The second group moved from FMC Umuahia to Isi-gate, onward to Orie-Ugba through Lagos Line
Along the way, over 2,000 handbills were distributed — inviting people to the upcoming bootcamp and educating the public on what CP is, its early signs, and the importance of early intervention. Passersby were encouraged to attend the program, learn more, and join the fight against stigma.
We sincerely appreciate all participants, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders whose commitment and support made today’s outreach a resounding success. Special thanks to our medical professionals, caregivers, and community advocates who walked the talk — literally — for children living with CP.
Together, we are building awareness, breaking barriers, and creating a more inclusive society for all children.
