TSCF Celebrates 8 Years of Impact!

On Monday, 24th November 2025, The Straight Child Foundation (TSCF) marked its 8th Anniversary & Fundraising Event at the Banquet Hall, Hotel Royal Damgrete, Umuahia — a remarkable gathering themed:

“Bridging the Gap Between Vision and Reality in the Care of the Child with Disability: The TSCF Story.”

The event featured success stories from parents of children who received free treatment for clubfoot, cerebral palsy, and down syndrome, emotional drama presentation, goodwill messages, fundraising, and the unveiling of TSCF’s 8-year journey by the co-founder and Chairman, Dr. Peace Amaraegbulam.

We were greatly honoured by the presence of distinguished dignitaries including:

Dr. Maureen Ijeoma Aghukwa, Commissioner for Women Affairs (representing the Wife of the Governor)

Dr. Chukwuemeka Oluoha, Former ES PHCDA (Chairman of the Occasion, represented)

Dr. Uche Adizua, Deputy CMAC, FMC Umuahia, representing the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Azubuike Onyebuchi

Hon. Justice Obisike Oji (Rtd.), President, TSCF Board of Trustees

Representatives of FMC Umuahia, FMOH, Abia Disability Commission, NUJ, NAWOJ, CEF, and several medical leaders, community leaders, honoured guests and dignitaries.

Their presence reaffirmed the collective commitment to improving disability care in Nigeria.

The event also featured a fundraising session to support TSCF’s mission of ensuring every child with disability receives timely, quality care.
