50 Surgeries for 50 Children: Restoring Mobility, Restoring Hope
In celebration of Dr. Peace Amanaegbulam’s 50th birthday, The Straight Child Foundation is providing free orthopedic surgeries to 50 children from indigent families across Nigeria.

The Straight Child Foundation is proud to present 50 Surgeries for 50 Children, a special humanitarian outreach created to provide life-changing orthopedic care to children who would otherwise be unable to afford treatment.
The initiative is being held in honor of the 50th birthday of Dr. Peace Amanaegbulam, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and CEO of The Straight Child Foundation. Rather than receive birthday gifts, Dr. Peace has chosen to mark this milestone by giving 50 children the gift of mobility, independence, and a better future.
Thousands of children across underserved communities live with treatable orthopedic conditions such as clubfoot, limb deformities, fractures, bone infections, and congenital abnormalities. For many families, the cost of surgery and rehabilitation places treatment beyond their reach.
Through this campaign, 50 children between the ages of 0 and 17 years from 50 indigent families will receive free orthopedic surgery and associated care.
