World Clubfoot Day Celebration

As part of our ongoing World Clubfoot Day Celebration, The Straight Child Foundation (TSCF) paid an advocacy visit to the Abia State Honourable Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, Mrs. Ngozi Blessing Felix.

The engagement centered on the needs and rights of children living with disabilities, particularly those affected by clubfoot. In a fruitful discussion, the Honourable Commissioner acknowledged the plight of these children, recognizing them as some of the most vulnerable in society. She expressed her willingness to collaborate with TSCF to support interventions that improve the lives of children with disabilities.

Mrs. Felix commended the Foundation for its sustained efforts in providing free treatment for children with clubfoot and for promoting inclusion through its various programs. She expressed appreciation for the impact being made and emphasized the need for continued partnership to extend the reach of these services.

The Honourable Commissioner also joined TSCF in commemorating World Clubfoot Day, congratulating the Foundation on its dedication to ensuring that no child is left behind due to a treatable condition like clubfoot.
